Historical Writing Competition

Update (25th September) : The deadline for the Historical Writing Competition has been extended until Midnight Friday October 20th. New entry forms are available, but any entries using the old forms will still be accepted.

The Mt Evelyn History Group are again holding an Historical Writing Competition as part of the Mt Evelyn Street Party Celebrations.

Students from grades 5 to 10 are welcome to enter by writing between 300 and 500 words about a person, place or event in the Mount Evelyn area in any clearly defined year or period.

There are some great prizes which include gift vouchers for Collins Bookshop Croydon, cash prizes and a 2018 Term 1 membership for Launchpad, Mooroolbark’s Own After School Creative Writing Club for ages 8-16, valued at $225!
