The Spirit of Giving Trees

Christmas is the time of giving, and there are a few places around Mt Evelyn where you can give a gift to someone who is in need.

Giving Tree
The Giving Tree will be set up in Bendigo Bank from December 1 (gifts are accepted prior) until December 16. All gifts are distributed through Anchor who provide housing and support services to children, young people, families and individuals in Melbourne’s outer east.

You can bring in your gift already wrapped or Bendigo Bank will gift wrap if needed. Please put a note with your gift to say whether it suits a boy or girl.

Community Spirit Tree
The Community Spirit Tree is located in Mount Evelyn Community House, 50 Wray Crescent (the Library building) and will be accepting gifts until December 12. Please bring in your gifts unwrapped.

Gifts for children and teenagers, up to the age of 16, will be distributed through Anglicare Lilydale and Yarra Valley Vineyard Christian Fellowship.
Non-perishable food, such as shortbread, fruit cake, Christmas Bon Bons, tins of food or pasta, is being collected for Holy Fools who help people experiencing homelessness; at-risk of homelessness; or extreme poverty in the Yarra Ranges.

You can also drop off gifts for the Community Spirit Tree at Birmingham Primary School and Mt Evelyn Primary School.
