Tennis Australia created this initiative for tennis clubs who conduct Free Tennis Open Days for the general public. Clubs who signed up to host an Open Day were eligible to enter a draw for a player at the Australian Open, who if successful would win $5000.00 for their club.

“We were obviously ecstatic when we heard that we had drawn the number one mens tennis player in the world in Andy Murray.” Murray Smith, METC Committee.

Mt Evelyn Tennis Club will be holding their Free Tennis Open Day on Sunday January 29 from 10am to 4pm at their tennis courts, 10 Birmingham Rd. There will be a free BBQ, face painting and jumping castles for the kids along with hit the target games and a fastest serve machine.
There will also be many prizes on the day and one lucky visitor will win a free 12 month family membership just for attending the event.

Sir Andy Murray has been runner up in the Australian Open five times, but has not yet won the title. Join us in cheering him on to win this Summer.
