The Mount Evelyn Recreation Reserve Master Plan Review draft is now available on the Yarra Ranges Council website.
The draft is a revision of an earlier Master Plan that covered both Mount Evelyn Recreation Reserve and Morrison Reserve completed in 2009. This version separates the original Master Plan into two documents, with the Morrison Reserve Master Plan to be completed at a later date.
Details for the Mount Evelyn Recreation Reserve Master Plan have been put together after an online survey was conducted through the Yarra Ranges Shire website in the last year. It looks at the continued use of Mt Evelyn Recreation Reserve over the next 10 years particularly in relation to sporting facilities, community use, environmental protection, and access.
A few of the recommendations include: redeveloping and upgrading most of the infrastructure around the primary oval; upgrade shared pathways; installation of a second netball training area; redeveloping the secondary oval and creation of a retaining wall for spectator seating, as part of embankment removal works.
The full Mount Evelyn Recreation Reserve Master Plan draft can be read online via the Yarra Ranges Council website: http://www.yarraranges.vic.gov.au/Lists/Current-consultation/Mount-Evelyn-Recreation-Reserve-Master-Plan
Reviewers of the Master Plan are invited to give their response through a short questionnaire, consisting of three questions.
This Saturday, December 10 from 9:30am to 11:30am staff from the Yarra Ranges Council ‘Recreation and Active Living Team’ will be at Mount Evelyn Recreation Reserve to meet with the public and discuss the background to the project and recommendations contained within the Master Plan. Everyone is welcome to come along.
Submissions to the Mount Evelyn Recreation Reserve Master Plan close at 12am on Tuesday, 31 January 2017.
